Lorenzo de’ Medici Book Series
Let Lorenzo de’ Medici take you on a tour of classical culture. I’ve chosen Lorenzo as the narrator of my books because of his role in educating many of the great Italian minds of the 15th century. He is best known for his sponsorship of artists such as Sandro Botticelli and Michelangelo Buonarroti. Artists such as these dined at the Medici family table and participated in discussions on ancient Greek and Roman philosophy with the most progressive minds of Italy.
Lorenzo was born January 1, 1449 and died on April 8, 1492. His life coincided with the Golden Age of Italian Renaissance art and culture. He is buried in the Medici Chapel in Florence.
